Letter Combination-Inking
After doing around sixty thumbnails of different letter combinations in Univers, I decided that I would embark on the combination of the lowercase “j” and “n.” I was so hooked on Univers and had to force myself to just see what it would look like in the other typefaces. Much to my surprise, I preferred Bodoni. I instantly fell in love with the tail on the “j.” Also, I didn’t realize how much I liked serifs. I feel that they add a lot of character to the letters. The way that the serifs on the “j” and “n” fit so perfectly together made me know for sure that this was my perfect solution.
